White spot

The other day, i noticed 1 of my platies had white spot, i am treating it atm but all i wanna know is how could it have got in there ? coz its a new setup ??

it could have come in from the LFS where you bought the fish.

alot of parasites are present in aquariums regardless. When fish get stressed thier immune systems fall and the parasites can attack.

Oh, the white spot came when i first put some of my fry in the big tank just to check if it was wright for the fish, but on the same day as that, i saw one of my other fry with it in the fry tank, so i think it may have come in there by the fry tank, will my most best fish pull through the disease ?? because i have some good fish like angelfish and rams in there that i dont wann lose ?

you need to treat each and every tank that was exposed, including the fry tank. I am not sure about fry being able to handle the treatment. If you follow the directions carefully your angel and ram should be ok, although rams are a little more sensitive than most fish.

ok cheers, i am treating it now, alot of my fish are flicking against rocks and stuff, so i thats an obvious sign thats its got white spot, i dont really like putting the treatment stuf in lol because it goes blue and i always think that i will never clear up ! Lol

The best way is to raise temperature to 30 degree celcius and add aquarium salt for a week. Trust me, no white spot can survive.

the cory cats and tetras may not survive a salt treatment. Although, yes it is an effective treatment against ick.
