The walls of my tank are covered with white little dots which, upon closer inspection, slightly resemble hydra in shape but are alot smaller (approx. .5- 1mm in length). They seem to move with the current of the water and are only visible on the glass and not on the plants, etc. I keep three zebra danios in a 10 gal. and there seem to be no problems as of yet. Oh, and there are live plants in the tank and recently added silica sand as substrate. I looked all over the internet and had trouble finding info. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. thanks

How firmly are they attached? Do they move on their own, or only with the water flow. It's possible they're hydra, or it could be a small fungal bloom that's probably harmless. Are they possibly baby snails?
They come right off with a swipe of the fish net and only move with the water current. I don't think they're baby snails though. The growth does resemble a fungus...maybe i'm overfeeding...there is a molly fry in the tank that I feed baby brine shrimp. Perhaps uneaten bbs are causing fungal growth.

I THINK as lotus said, its some type of fungal bloom, and yes, for me they did just dissapear by themselves.
Heres a pic and a video of when i got them, do they look the same as to what you have now?
