usually people go to about 85-86F but your fish are all pretty hardy so u could raise yours to say about 88-89F to get rid of the ich quicker, dont go any higher than 90 though or else you'll have boiled fish :)

This thread is actually from 2004, but as for how to get rid of ick, you will need to make sure all your water parameters are in order (if you aren't familiar with cycling, check out the link in my signature). Next, you will need to slowly raise the tank temperature to around 85 degrees. Keep it there for around 2 weeks (the ich lifecycle time). Even if the spots disappear, keep the temp up. The heat will kill the ich in your tank.

Remedy? What remedy are you referring to? The heat alone should take care of it, if you start messing with meds from the store they can mess with your cycle and actually harm your fish when used in conjunction with heat and whatever else you have in there.

My answer to this is ich and commen problem we deal with in this hobby, the cause of this is stress on the fish or where ever you got your fish the tank had the ick parasite in it. there is all kinds of meds for this issue and the best kind of med for ick is coppermind which is safer to use in a QT the fish that has the ick and put it in a hospital tank with no sand no notting but a filter and the ick has a life cycle and mostly all the time the fish will carry it and it wont harm your fish it takes about seven days for the ick to fall off. the problem here that if once you have the ick in your main tank its going to always be there and you have to treat your tank with copper which takes time and i found with time that most of the time it still happend cuz they fall of fish and fall to the sand which then repeat the cycle. if you really want to get rid of the ick once and for all invest in a UV sterilizer it will kill all parasite in your tank and you'll never have to warry about your fish ever getting any kind of parasite
