White wispy stuff in bottom of tank ?!?!

Need advice. The tank is a 29g community with UG filter and a HOT Marineland Biowheel. Misc. Community fish and no live plants. Up and running for 9 months. 5 days ago a white wispy substance appeared on the gravel (airstones may have been clogged BTW). Wispy stuff migrated to plastic plants.

Did a 35% water change and 'bleached the plastics, changed filter media, and went to higher output airstones.

Today it looks like it is coming back. Fish seem fine, but I assume they will shortly be in trouble fighting this stuff.

ANY clue is welcome.

Thanks

sounds like a kind of algea ive had it before its not really anything to worry about though.  get some fish that will eat algea and it should go away.  lets get a second opinion by people with more experiance though.  peace
