who got a customized tank? with their requested me

anyone ever special order a tank that met YOUR requested measurements? does anyone know of certain places that do this? is it that expensive? will they pre drill it for me?

maybe i should ask my lfs, but i wanted a tank that is 72”(183 cm) long, 24”(60cm) wide, and just 18”(45cm) high. BUT i would like it predrilled so i can run it to a wet/dry and sump. do they make tanks like this? if i get it specially made, how much more would i have to pay? and where do i go to get one?

can i get tanks in any measurement i want if i special order them? just curious.

I'm not aware of any, but this is not to say that there are companies that don't do this. I've thought about several types of tanks I'd like to have that are far outside the "norm." It would just be a matter of you having the money and being able to find someone with the proper skills. Individual people/shops would be the first place to look.

I have I have. hehehhehe.

I have a 24'' by 24'' by 24''(60 us gallons).
I don't know about predrilling, but I don't see why not.
I order mine thru my LFS.
It wasn't cheap either, about 300cnd.
I love it. Only Problem is lighting it. lol.
Try glass shops, I know lots of them will do it for you.
But they were no cheaper then my LFS.

avalon: yeah i dont plan on going far out with it. just wanted more length and width than height. yeah i plan on asking my lfs if they know of anyone in our area.

simpleton: man your "cube" seems real slick! what kind of fish do you keep in there? andy plants? pics? i bet it was hard finding proper lighting for it.

ps: how much is 300 cnd?

Hey

300 would probably be about 170 or so american.

My dad is getting a digital camera so I will steal his off of him. Then I hope that I can get some good pics of all my tanks.

Yah it is pretty rad wasn't my idea lol.

For lighting right now I just have 20X4, so 80 watts, and I only have fish in it.
It has become the left over fish tank lol. If I had my way I would have gotten rid of all of the fish and it would be a chiclid tank (angel). But since it is actually my partners tank then I have no say lol.
