about one week ago i went to the LFS looking for a german blue ram. i saw some rams in a tank. one tank being golden rams and the other i just assumed were GBRs. i must have just quickly glanced at the tag. they were bolivian rams! so, i got a bolivian ram instead of a GBR in my 5g right now. i know, i'm an idiot. i almost didnt want to post this because i feel like a jack***. so, should i return the bolivian ram, or will he be alright in the 5G? he's about 2" right now. some websites say they need a 20G at the minimum? also, will the LFS take him back?

I think he should be ok. They grow about the same size as GBRs, though i have seen a few monster bolivians. Definently don't have the color like GBRs though. You can keep him, but if you really wanted a GBR then take it back and get what you want.

It happens, a non colored GBR will look very similar to a young bolivian. An honest mistake to an untrained eye.

Most LFS have a trade in policy, depends on your local LFS.
