Recently i learned that on the nearby air force base (where my dad works) there are little streams and ponds filled with different species of cichlid including Texas Green cichlids (I live in Texas). Ive heard that collectors go out there and capture species to raise. Since almost all the water in the city I live in comes from a local aquifer, would it be okay to convert my tank into a cichlid tank if i go capture some cichlids?
