My friends want more fish in their pond. Right now they have two 3-inch goldfish. I was wondering if I could give them some of my mollies (if the female ever gives birth...) to put in the pond with the goldfish. Is the cold water OK? And would they get along with the goldfish?

No, the pond is nowhere near that big, and there isn't a place around here that they could get koi. The pond has about a 2.5 ft radius and it's about that deep, too. It is made out of a rubber horse trough. Should they just get more goldfish?

GooGirl, ask yourself this... If a fish can not grow because it doesn't have enough room to physically get larger, then wouldn't its tank be inherently to small?

Not to be too graphic but apply that to a child...

You need to consider the full grown size of a particular fish when deciding what size tank to use.

I understand, but it's all getting a TINY bit more complicated than it needs to be. I just wanted to know if I could put mollies in there, and if so, how many. If not, OK.

Well, thanks, anyways! You probably saved several future fish's lives from dying!
