Will different cories school with each other?

I have a julii cory that lost his tankmates and he is not too happy about it.

He hides most off the time and I am pretty sure it is because he is nervous without his friends to school with.

If I put in a few emerald green cories, will the julii hang out with them and perk up, or will it just make it worse for him.

Also, I was thinking about putting in a rubberlip pleco to handle some algae cleanup and I was wondering if he would be bad for the cories.

Thanks in adance.

your julii may not school with your emeralds, but i don't think you have to rule it out completely... i have 2 emerald green cories, and 3 juliis. the 2 emeralds are pretty much always together, and the 3 juliis are together a lot of the time but they roam on their on sometimes to. i also have a rubberlip pleco, and he does great with the cories... he hides a lot, but when he comes out everyone pretty much minds their own business.

how big is your tank?

From what I've seen in my tanks, different cories won't school together much. They may hang out sometimes, but usually the "odd one out" is only welcome in a group of other cories only occasionally.

If possible, get more of the same cory for your loner to school with.

The rubberlip will be fine with cories.

Thanks for the responses.

I will see about getting some more julii cories.

I was asking because the julii's can be tough to find here.

BTW, the tank is 20 gal and has 6 silver-tipped tetras in it as well.
