Will dwarf puffers bite me?

I'm still wanting some but when I was talking to a guy about spotted and figure eights (I know those are much bigger but still) he said they drew blood sometimes when he put his hand in!

They're cute but I don't want to be afraid to siphon my tank and stuff!

i have found thay all fish will bite you if you give them the oppertunity(fish without bithing mouths exculded)just keep an eye on them ,or else you will suck them up and thats worse than a bite

I have a tank of five 3-5" red belly piranha. I've never been bitten and its a planted tank that I'm constantly going in and out of....
take off the skirt.....

My fish seem to be scared of my hand but theyre just platies and other small community fish but once they came over to my hand I just waved it about and they go away.

my fish like to ram my arm, but I don't think Ive ever been bitten.

My tiger barbs always nip at me when i have my hand in the tank. So far my puffers just swim away, I hope they dont bite me!!

My dwarf puffer is usually curious when I'm in the tank and comes quite close to my hand and the vac, but I wouldn't be too concerned about him biting me. You have seen the size of these, right?

Its always a possibility, but as Mann points out, they aren't that big, and it would be a tiny little nip at best. Between my new kitten, and my tank full of Colombian's and Knight Goby's, I'd much rather get nipped by the fish anyday . This is just one of those potential incidents when keeping any animal. But as others have said, so far, my fish just run away from my hand, as they are all quite skittish. Depends on the fish, and their own disposition I suppose. Everyone will have different experiences here.

here the fish always act bad but when they see your hand they duck for cover. If they try an bite you pluck them ...
