Will It Support?

I'm planning on getting a new tank. Possibly a 120 gallon. Any idea how well supported it would be on a second floor or any way I can find out? If anything should I just put it perpendicular to the joysts or whatever? Any ideas?

well a 120 gallon tank will proably weigh about 1300 pounds, so I wouldnt recommend having it on a 2nd floor, and also depends on what you put into it. Is this a old house or newer house, if you wanna really be safe have a contractor or someone take a look at it and see if it will hold that amount of weight

I think it's around 30 years old maybe? Decent condition. We'll probably call a contractor or something. We have a pinball machine on the second floor as well but I don't think that weighs nearly as much the tank will. Thanks.
