hey

.. im looking into buying a midas... i am going to mix it with red devils and i might try to mix it with jack dempsey's or a mating pair of convicts(although i think the midas size will be to overpowering even for a breeding couple).. how do u think this will go??
and also.. i havent yet seen a mi9das in n e fish shops... where would i be able to get one?? i live in brisbane, australia

Hey shelly, aussie, cool.
I disagree about crossbreeding, if that is what you are alluding to. Red Devils and Midas cichlids look very similar.

I will assume this aquarium will be at least 90 gallons, preferably around 150.

no im just planning to put them in the same tank... but ive heard that mixing midas, or red devils is really hard... would i have more chance if i got them when they were young, brought them up together and put them in the tank at the same time??
