with or without a filter

i wanna do a fishless cycle but i dont know if i can do it without a filter cause i can get a tank but i dont have enough money for the filter. i really need the heater or the fish are gonna die by freezing to death. its gonna be a ten gallon but without plants or gravel in it yet.

i'm not sure if i understand, mike. do you intend to get a filter soon? because your fish will need one...?

yes soon but i dont know how soon cause i gotta hustle some money cause my parents wont give me any money at the time.i also want to but it before they go out of stock.

well you wouldn't be able to add fish anyway, until you got that filter, right? (*nudge nudge* mom and dad ) is there a reason you want the tank cycled so soon? the filter media is where most of the bacteria reside, you sorta want that there, i think.

well i dont have the tank yet but i want it before they go out of stock. or unless you wanna sell me a fish tank with the whole setup.
