Some can and some can't , so which fish? Also if you're heavily stocked oxygen levels will be the death of you( or rather your fish)

Is there a way for you to open the hood slightly to help cool it? Is it possible for you to use less light or switch the lights on during the night?

I have heard instances of tanks going into the 90s without any fish dying, but it's probably not good for them long term.

Run a fan over the top of the tank. And make sure you have an air pump with the tank. Waynes right, oxygen will be a problem. I have had tanks run up in the 90's for a couple day due bad heater. I think you should be ok. Good luck.

I dont have lights on the tank my window ac has been cranked the temp is down to 84 good thing it rained today lol Now if I put dry ice in a tall cup and put the bottom of the cup in the tank would that cool the tank down I know its a weird question Im just sick of the 100 dollar electric bill just tpo keep my fish alive. I might just build pond in my backyard and let my cichilds go

Well it is not totally related but i kept my pictus cat and a couple of cories at 86-88 F for a week w/o any effect except they got rid of ick.
Provided aeration that gives oxygen and enhances evaporation and occasional ice drop, i would hope they can make it.
