Hi, everyone !!!

Yesterday I lost 1 of my platties! My water seems fine...PH is o.k., nitrites very low, ammonia very low...

When I put the fishy in a baggie overnight, the next morning I saw teenie tiny squirmy things...like reddish worms. Yikes! I took the bag to my LFS. They say it is a common type of worm normally found in tanks. It usually only infects a host when they are weakened or stressed. They will have a more knowledgeable employee examine it thru their microscope Monday to find out more. They gave me some medicated flakes to feed once a day for 1 week for the rest of the tank.

Anyone else ever have a problem like this ??? Is it really common ??? How can I save the rest of my tank ???

HELP PLEASE !!!!
???

Feed them medicated foods and/or blood worms only. Check their poop. Ck to see if its white & stringy. Feed them till the poop looks normal. Medication may also be used if needed for internal parasites. NO REGULAR FLAKE FOODS, till it clears up.
