Ok, well the main reason i made an account on here was to ask just one question - Would a Blue Cobalt cichlid be compatible in a 25g tank with 5x Cardinal Tetras and 1x Bristlenose catfish.

Also, would 2 blue cobalts be able to live together, so i could have all those and 2x blue cobalts? Thanks.

tank is way too small for a cobalt cichlid sorry. Also they are pretty aggressive for tetras. There is a general rule that African cichlids are really only good with other Africans because of their aggression and also because they require a very different water parameters than most other fish. They need a much higher pH and also hard water. Do you any other idea of what you would like to add to that tank? I dont think any cichlid would really work, sorry. Possibly a ram cichlid or two but I'm not too sure.

Just to add to UL's assessment, even if you didn't have the other fish and everything else was equal, 2 would more than likely become 1 in a tank that size. Mbuna are regularly overstocked to help reduce aggression but in a 25gal you don't really even have room for that.

BTW, WELCOME! :)

Definitely not. The tank is much too small to start, and they're much too aggressive with the fish you already have in there. Mbuna should really only be kept with other mbuna.
