First run? The odds are not on your side. However if they spawn once i'm sure they will spawn again.

She might end up swallowing, or spitting to soon, with pressure from other fish.

Make sure you have enough rocks and hiding spots for the fry and see how it goes. Or you can move the female, i personally have no liked this, never had much good luck moving the female. I just let her do her thing.

well my tank is filled with lava rock and lace rock, so there are enoug cracks and holes everywhere for the fry...

another question, my ink fin is starting to live up to its habits and is now hangen out by the shells i left for them...is it possible for my 2 inch ink fins to breed? or em is it way too early to have them start?

and does anyone know how to sex them? im guessing size, cuz i have two bigger ones and a real small one

Congrats!

I agree with C-man. If it's her first time then don't be to disapointed if she doesn't carry the eggs to term.

(You say ink fin, so I'm safe to assume that this is an A. calvus, yes?) I think 2in. is a bit young for them, but at least they are getting the idea of what the shells are to be used for when they are ready. The male calvus will be larger than the females. I have 5 juvie's right now all roughly about 1.5 inches, way to young to be able to tell the sex.
