I finally got my 55 gallon for my cichlids! WooHoo!
Upon setting it up though, I realised something. Crushed coral acts like sand. Rinse very well. Im draining the tank full 100% as we speak to clarify the water. Blah.
My substrate is a mixed 15lb bag of crushed coral and 1 25lb bag of white gravel. It came as a setup, heater, lights, and filter all in one. Nice little thing. I think im going to model it after the Roman coleseum. Kinda a cichlid is the lion, and the goldfish feeders are the slaves. Im evul.
Opinions? Comments? Suggestions?
Oh yeah, Im getting some livinstonii tomorrow for the tank (using ten gallons of setup tank water and buring some of the rocks in the previous well established tank).
