I have 3 Yellow Labs, and I would like to be able to know which are females and males. all of them are almost 2 inches..Two of the Labs are just yellow with not many black spots on any of the fins or body. And thers another Lab with dark black on all of his fins and hes kind a dull yellow but with a black line across it.Is there any way to tell which are male/female?

Also I have another cichlid its almost 2 inches, I know its african but i'm not sure what type it is. I thought it was a blue cobalt but it is a darkish purple color..he hangs around with the yellow labs and isnt very aggressive at all anyone know what this is?

is the one with the dark lines on the fins the most agressive out of the three? if it is then thats a male. and if you see no lines on the otehr 2 they might be females.

Well none of the Labs are really aggressive but yeah one of them has no black on it at all, one just has light black on the fin on its back, and one has dark black on all of its fins and blacks lines on its body

Thats not a sure fire way, lol. Yellow labs have males and females that look the same. Unless you see one holding or vent them...good luck sexing them. Females can be just as aggressive as males. And depending on the stock, the lines of the fin can be faded or bright for both sexes.

If I had an aggressive yellow lab with black markings on the body I would assume it was NOT a yellow lab, rather an auratus or similar
