Yellow Watchman Goby?

Is there a certain kind of pistol shrimp that will form a symbiotic relationship with a yellow watchman goby?

it is never guaranteed, it is just hit or miss...but make sure it is one of the watchman gobies.

do you have a watchman goby? if not try a randall's pistol shrimp and goby pair, very nice looking, ill find a picture for you.

I would get that but the only pistol shrimp they sell around here is the tiger pistol shrimp. They won't even order others because they think there "bad for the tank".

So would a tiger pistol be able to go in my tank with a yellow watchman?

maybe, not as often do the hook up with the goby, you could order one of of liveaquaria.

I think the tiger would pair off...there are things you can do to try to artifically intitiate the bond...create a burrow using black pvc that is coated in sand, put it in a nice spot and put the pistol in it when you buy him, then get the goby and try to put him in it...not guaranteed or anything but i have had it work.
