your all probably sick of me and my "i scored threads" but what can i say lol.

yesterday i found a post on craigslist of a FREE. YES THAT IS F R E E! free 30 gallon tank, including accessories and fish. the fish was the bad part, most are fish that im not interested in or even know. (i'll be starting an ID that fish thread next). but hey who could complain.

I went and when i got there i could totally see why she wanted to get rid of it. she said in the post she had no idea what she was doing and by the LIME green color of the tank, well that was pretty evident. She even has one fish of this kind and one fish of that kind etc. first thing i asked her was, how long do you keep those lights on. and yep ding ding ding her answer was all the time! in two weeks they lights had never been off.

She seemed attached to the fish even giving all 16 of them names, so being the kind gentelman that i am (cough***translates into she was CUTE***cough) i offered to just show her and explain to her what to do, but she said no and i could take it.

Tank came with, filters (crappy ones) food, heater(S), glass tops, lights, misc fake plants and rock formations and one cave. all FREE!!

i'll need to buy a stand, and i replaced the two crappy filters with an old Aquaclear 70 and a already seeded bio bag from the filter im seeding for my 75 gallon setup

is it really worth all the work you're going to have to do to clean it up :$? Good luck!
I got 2/3 of my tanks out of the garbage, some free filters and like 30 pounds of free gravel, all out of a couple peoples garbage :) ! Garbage pickup is coming soon too heheh

yeah the only "clean" up is to rinse the tank and fill it back up, maybe wipe a rag around the inside and presto.

He already has the filter so yeah that was a hot deal. for 2 bucks he can do play sand or gravel from home depot if you don't trust their gravel (I will never trust someone elses gravel again)
