You Gotta Love those LFS Employees Sometimes

I just thought I'd share a little bit of a score I got today with ppl who might actually be able to appreciate it. *twirlysmi

I am moving and so I've decided it is the perfect time to put some crushed coral substrate into my 29 gal. yellow-lab mbuna tank. It's a real upgrade as far as my fish keeping set-up is concerned. I've wanted to do it for a while.

So I went to the LFS today and picked it up and brought it to the checkout. The UPC wouldn't scan and so the new guy behind the counter just looked through the substrates and gave it to me for the lowest priced one on the list (9.99). I was just like "SCORE!" Go me. I saw it listed on the screen but the guy didn't realize it was crushed coral (that was priced at 29.99/20lb bag!) Anyway, it made my day. I feel a little guilty for not pointing it out, but then I think about the hundreds of dollars I've spent on the rockwork for my tank and then I feel a little better. LOL

when i need rocks i go to my local rock quarry and get a whole trunk-full for about 20 bucks... see if you ahve one in your area

I love the stupid employee discount.

I had a stupid Petco employee that I liked... well, two actually. One that didn't know what rainbows were and charged me about half price for knifefish, and one that didn't read the little yellow slip right and charged me for only one fish... Yay for Petco!
