Your favorite tetras????

Just curious, what are some of your favorite tetras? I am thinking about adding some to my tank. I already have silver tip tetras and want to add more.

I would have to say either rummynose or cardnails are my fav. But they both are kinda hard to come by, are a little pricey, and can be picky about water quality, but i dont care.

Chelsius tetras..... love them. Peaceful and pretty. BTW, anyone know how to spell that? Also really like the Buenos Aires tetra but must also say two out of four died from some mysterious disease while no other fish perished from this ailment.

Well my favorite fish is harlequin rasboro. I know they arnt a characin but they are small like tetras and are so cool.
I have 9 in my 38g tank and they all school together all the time. They are attractive too. I have glowlights,neons,black phantoms, and bloodfins for tetras and they all seem kinda boring. To me by far harlequins are the most active and best schooling fish ive ever had.

I think A HUGE school of Cardinals is Magnificent, There flourscent Blues and Purples magnify and glitter throughout the tank almsot make a magical purple color!! There beauty is amazing

hmmm, I like Gold tetras and Congo tetras.

I like the color of neons and cardinals but have never been able to keep neons let along cardinals alive!!

For a large tank, I'd suggest a school or congo tetras (over 30 gallons, minimum. They get big) for a small tank, I'm rather fond of rummy-nosed as well... or black neons...

Congo tetras! Too expensive to get a decent school though...

Serpae Tetras and Neon Tetras are my favorite. Haha. I've owned Neons for two years and I've had Serpaes for a few months. They're pretty much the only fish I could keep alive (for more than a week)

Cardinal Tetras, Amandae Tetras, and Green Fire Tetras....

Just can't pick a favorite...

I love my diamond tetras. They're fins are transparent violet gauze and their bodies amazingly sparkly firing off loads of different colours. I think they're prettier and more sparkly than my Cardinals....and a much more interesting shape.
