YoYos

Thank you so much for the links!!! I learned a lot more about these great fish. Like the guy in the first article, I have developed a great fondness for bottomfeeders. I have 2 Cories as well, as soon as I get another tank, I plan on getting some different types of fish that I haven't yet had.

I may crack down and get a 20 gallon as soon as I can afford it. I hear they are a lot easier to take care of, plus they are better for the fishes and their wellbeing. Not to mention the potential for having a kickass planted tank.

Again, thank you.

I know you have read the articles, but I just thought I would point out that the yoyos and cories really do better in groups. You might want to go ahead and get a tank bigger than 20g. The min. recomended size for the goldie alone is 30g. The yoyos get up to 4" and you really don't want less than 3, so at the 1" per gallon rule, that's at least 12g of your tank already. I wish you were closer, I would give you a great deal on a larger tank. Check our freecycle.org, craigslist.com, etc... see if you can't find a free/cheap 70g or something, gives you alot more options too. You could really make a nice tank, and think of all the bottom room you have for your bottom feeders! :)

yo yo loaches

The yo yo's are great little fish. 4 of mine are full size now and they dont seem to hurt anyone and are great with snails. You definitely need a group as they will forage and be very active and much much happier. I did find that mine got darker in body colour as they got older. Did anyone else find this or is it perhaps just simply because i've got them on a dark substrate.
