Zebra or Yoyo loach?

The Zebra:
- I can keep one more in the tank (group of 4)
- don't grow as large as Yoyos
- hardy for a loach
- i hear they can be fin nippers
- good personality?
- are they shyer than Yoyos?

The Yoyo:
- grow larger than Zebras
- i could keep a group of 3
- i hear they have great personalities and are outgoing
- are more sensitive than the Zebra

What to do...?

You know what my answer would be, but then again, I've never kept zebra loaches . . . .

I loved it when I had my yoyos.. I still have one that is always out and about... if you can keep them (mine stopped or never ate) they are worth it.

I had zebras a while ago and they could be really quite aggressive, whilst my yoyos were great. I'd go with yoyos.

I've found zebras to be much more friendly than yoyos. Yoyos also get kind of ugly when they get big.

Make sure you're not confusing zebra loaches with tiger loaches.

I think my favorite for personality are the angelicus loaches.

We had a trio of yoyos for several years. Once they got past about 5 inches, they really weren't as cute as they were when small They get kind of pale, and tend to be fairly inactive. We sold them in the end.

Well, I guess I have a few more years to enjoy them before they turn into pale slugs.
I suppose they are just like human babies - cute and inspiring hope at first, then they become disappointing but something you still have to feed.
