can anyone tell me anything about hypancistrus zebra (zebra pleco)? i.e pH, max size, specieal requirements, decor, suitable tank mates.

would i have a chance of breeding them?
if so wot size tank?
how do i tell a male from a female?
and any other info u can give me

My limited knowledge of these great looking fish is that they are usually expensive and hard to find. I did get some info on planetcatfish.com (sorry I do not know the exact link) which indicated that they need wood and are quite sensitive to water and tankmates.

Check out the site and you should get good info.

Read the other posts, plus all the stuff on planetcat. Not hard to keep, but at 60 quid or so a shot, you don't want to mess up. Not hard to breed, except that you might need to wait a couple of years for them to reach sexual maturity. Ones that are mature can be quite a bit pricier than the young ones you see in shops.
