Zebra Tank Mates- L260?

I was just looking up some fish profiles (or more specifically, wasting time in Chemistry class ) and I found out that my little L260 isn't going to get any bigger than she is. It said that they max out in size at about 3.5-4 inches, and my little one can't be any bigger than that.

So now to my question: Would she (I think it's a she at least!), be okay living with Zebra Pleco? She isn't aggressive at all, and doesn't compete for food. (I've only seen her out twice since I bought her, she's very shy) Isn't that basically the same as the Zebs?

I suppose I maybe thinking ahead too far, since I'm no sure how big the little guys I'm getting are (I think they're around an inch, so they'll be small), but I want to put my Queen in a tank that's more suited to its liking. Would they be okay?

Glad to see you thinking ahead. Altho the chances of this happening are slim to none, them both being Hypancistrus they could theoretically hybridize with each other. I actually think that would make for a VERY cool looking fish, BUT with zebs being the hot item they are I wouldn't want to risk it.

Hmm, that's true... but I think the zebs are a good year or two from being able to breed. I'm pretty sure I have a female L260, a hybrid would be awesome! I guess it'll all depend on how many male/females I get.

So you think they'd get along okay as long as I have enough caves? I really don't want to risk a zeb, but it'd be perfect if they would get along okay in the same tank

yeah they should be ok, altho in a 20L that is kinda pushing it. Zebs can actually be very territorial. I'm not so worried about the 260s being mean.

For instance I put my L399s in a 20L for spawning and the biggest female ATE one of the smaller males.

The Zebs will most likely be about a third of the size of the 260. I think may put her in there, but I'll be sure to keep a close eye on her. I suppose I'll be buying some more caves for them then. I've purchased two small pots and a three way PVC pipe so far, and I'm planning on making some slate caves, getting some driftwood, and maybe getting some more pots. Caves are good

Well, after a good 3 minutes of playing "Chase the Queen", I finally was able to get a good look at my 260. And now I know that's she's a he.
He has a nice marbled belly, as a according to planetcatfish, a male shall have, and those funky whiskers that I forget the intelligent sounding name for.

The good news: Maybe I'll get some cool hybrids if I end up with all Female Zebras
The news: Getting all females is really slim, as I've heard they're hard to come by.
The bad news: If I end up with 2 males/1 female or 1 male/2 females, the game will get interesting...

And I officially started the 20's remodeling this evening I have the sand all ready, I just need to get the gravel out.

Odonotadotes I need more females. I have 3 males and 1 female of breeding size. Seems males are more common. Hopefully I'll get what I need out of the 12 2 inch fry I'm growing out.

Do you have L260 fry? I'd do anything to get Pleco fry, doesn't matter what kind. I'm really hoping the zebs I get will breed in a few years.
I can't wait for Big Al's to open up again. I'm hoping to maybe find a female 260 (I've fallen in love with them!) and a 128. My dad would kill me if he knew I wanted to breed pleco

I didn't spawn them. I bought them from Barbie from planetcatfish, plecofanatics, and zebrapleco.com I've seen you there Email her and she would prob hook you up.
