which powerhead is suitable for a 46gals

My powerhead in my 46 gals sucks, I don't know much about powerheads, but I want one that can blow all directions instead of blowing in one direction, which one should I get?

you can get a really strong power head and get a deflector for it. but i think u want a tunze XD

if u have a power head steam on both sides its great. cuz when the currents collides they create random flow which flows everywhere.

dont we all?? *twirlysmi to bad they are like $200 + ...if you want something that can be compared try a couple seio's or koralia's...personally ive heard nothing but good about the koralia's (besides the recall ) and plan to upgrade to them asap..too bad my crappy rio's have coraline all over them *crazysmil

if u want some thing good and cheap do a MJ mod. i was planning on doing it but didnt get the tank i wanted....

i've got the same problem in my 46 gallon. i've got 3 maxijet 900's, but they run on a wavemaker timer, so only 1 or 2 are running at the same time.
coolwaters - what exactly is an MJ mod?

It was the Koralia 3 that was recalled. I have a Koralia 3 and a Koralia 4 in my 125g tank, and the're working nicely for me.

Well, if you're going for 20x flow, then a couple of 1's will just about be enough (will give you 17x flow).

Are you looking to buy one or two powerheads?
