Maxi-jet problem

I tried it a couple times and couldn't get it to work. I ended up hooking up my old rio pump. I had a hard getting the maxi-jet to connect to the intake of the bakpak2. How can I do this? The attachment pieces were either too big or too small.

Thanks. That's a little different than I tried. I used the extension with the air hole in it and that's the piece that didn't line up to good. What is that thing you have hooked on the intake side of the maxi? Where do I get one of those? Is that what you use to get the air?

What size maxi-jet is that?

i have a Maxi jet 1200 connected.

The thing hooked on the intake is known as a venturi kit. You have to get it to hook up the maxi jet to the skimmer. All the intakes on the maxi jets are the same size so you can basically fit any maxi jet to the venturi kit. Link below.
