Hello all. This is my first post. Figured I would share in my excitement today. I picked up 6 baby Honduran Redpoints for my 55. The biggest one is about an inch long and look how much color already!!

First post with pics included and everything---off to an awesome start!

Congrats on the HRP's, and best of luck in raising the little guys. I'm assuming you're going for a breeding pair? What other tanks/fish do you have?

I'm not sure how the aggression is compared to convicts. I also heard less, and that's why I got them. Not to mention that the LFS had a tank full of babies. I was tired of the drama in my tank, but still wanted some colorful cichlids.

I just have a 55 with the HRPs. A few chewed up giant danios and a cory.
Looking to get a pair - heard they breed like rabbits...or convicts.

I have been reading your posts for a bit now. Seems like we both tried a sal pair at the same time. Mine spawned, someone ate the eggs and then the male decided to murder her. So now I am on to something a little more peaceful (hopefully).

Hehe...I know what you mean! Salvini males are super-nasty. :eek:
