Amano Shrimp with Bettas or Gourami

I am getting a new tank some time in the future and I was thinking about getting some Amano Shrimp. Anyone every had any problems with there Bettas eatting them. Getting a 10g and a 29g, not sure the order I will get them. They will be planted tanks.

Because no home aquarium is compelte without a Betta.

Well, it all really depends on the betta. Some bettas eat shrimp and some don't. Also as it will be planted the shrimp will have more chances of survival. So you will have to try and see

I have had ghost shrimp with my betta (they are a similar size) and he never bothered the shrimp.

same here....I've had ghost shrimp with two different bettas and had no problem at all

My Betta never really noticed my shrimp, then again, I barely ever see the shrimp.

My betta ate all the cherry shrimp that were in with him. But, he also bashed snails against the side of the tank. I guess he just didn't like to share his tank.
