Ok! Here goes!!!

I have basically done everything. The only thing waiting to be done is plumbing and adding water and live rock. I have been archiving a few pics for the past few days. From start till now.

LOL. At present I have a 20 watt bulb from my 10 gallon tank. Although I will definitely be going for retro kit MH with either compact or VHO. All depends on the price.

A small update.

Just finished plumbing, very simple and clear. Will modify later if needed. I think for now it is ok. I will be doing a freshwater test for leaks and see how it goes. Just needed a break so came online to post a few pics.. Below!!

I got the DJ panels from Ebay. For like $19 each.

A little update.

I had done a freshwater test and found out that the check valve is restricting the flow alot. So I had to cut it out and connect the plumbing back. Other then that I have planned to fill it up tomorrow. I will have to go and buy 5 gallons bottles. I will have to make 2 trips as I have only 5 empty one's although the water guy will lend me 5 more. Will post pics later.

I will setup the ATO tommorow and will let you know how it works.

Update.

Got everything up and running! Now only waiting for the sand to settle and get my live rock that I ordered from ebay. 80 lbs for $356 with 2 day shipping.

The ATO from JBJ is working great. So is the used skimmer. Pics will be posted once the tank clears up..

Lighting Question.

I am going for a retro fit kit for my 12" high canopy

2 x 250w MH

2 x 65W PC actinic

or

2 x 96W VHO actinic


Will this be enough light for the 90 G? Which is 24" high. Main question (Can I keep any coral that I want with this lighting?)

Should I go with VHO or PC?

Should I got with 10,000 k or 14,000 k ??


Anybody have experience with Hellolights.com They have pretty good rates!!!
