yes you will be happier with the straight 10K though I would add an actinic to balance the colours out a bit......looks great, is that bb?

Current lights= 265w 6700/10,00k with actinics and moonlights.
My phos is at .03, so I'm suer the 6700k is the source. Bloom occured immediately after fixture/light upgrade.

The 6700 is great for planted tanks but is a bit low for a reef where you need the higher spectrum. I just changed out my 10K for14K mh and I am not sure if I like the look of them or not. On my 29g I have pcs and have two dual smartpaq 10,000k and 460 actinic.....they are a nice balance

Yeah. The Sunpak lamps that come with the fixture are 6700k and 10,000k, but without the actinics on there is obviously too much yellow. I don't plan to keep any hard coral or high light anemonies so I don't need the halides. I reduced my photo period for the daylights until I decide to cough up the $$ for new lamps.
