no plakats

As we all know my little brother has a female betta and im looking for plakats but cant find any can someone tell me what they look like

Plakats, in my experience as of late, are very hard to find unless you order them from Thailand. There are one or two breeders in the U.S. if you're wanting to have them sent to you, but they're not cheap.

Names of who? The breeders? As for the girls, I dunno which one you're talking about, but all females look relatively like plakats because of their short fins. Most, if not all, of my girls are probably just veiltail girls though.

drake, finding plakats invloves thorough seraching. Many people breed them in the US and elsewhere. Most LFS's can order them for you if they carry any other type of bettas.
Female bettas look like plakats, yes, very general but yes. "Plakat" (originally Plakad) is basically Thai for "Betta" and wild-type bettas do not have the long and/or fancy finnage of today's strains. As Sin states, females have short fins in general.

Fancy bettas = hybrids. Same with mollies, platies and swordtails.
