Hi All,

Finally borrowed a decent camera to get some clearer shots of my Agassizii pair.

I've had them about 6 months and the female regularly spawns, no fry seen as of yet, they must be learning the process! :)

The male is beautiful the pics do not do him enough justice!

How hard, what pH is your water. If it's above about 1 kH, and more than 6.8 acid the eggs fail to hatch. This is a common problem with some apistos - they survive in water with more than trace hardness, but you can't get eggs to hatch - I had this problem with aggassizi, panduro and nijssenni. Others , like cacatuoides and eunotus where wholly unaffected.

its my fav apisto ever. but can the be compatible with all in my sig except cherry barbs and zebra danios? also. where in england can you find them?
are they compatible with kribs(most of all)
Sorry Dan just got back from 3 weeks away!

I picked these fish up from a LFS in Luton, they were the last pair at the time, however there is a very good Apisto Breeder based in High Wycombe worth checking out.

I wouldn't house any dwarfs with Kribs unless you have a big enough tank, kribs would make the apistos life hell!

Most tetras make good house mates and my cory's are also doing well with them
