UPDATE
I went to the LFS and the prices below reflect $5 less per fish as to what they were willing to give me in "store credit". I need to make room to start my reef project.
Also, if you would like to discuss shipping I am open to suggestions. Overnight is about the only way I would ship them. I do have boxes and styrofoam fish shipping containers.
I am going to be switching my 90G over from a discus tank to a saltwater tank soon.
I have raised discus for several years now and I am going to leave the hobby of raising discus.
This means that I am going to sell the seven discus I have left.
Here is what I have:
1 - 5" Tangerine Dream $55
1 - 5" Blue Diamond $45
1 - 5" German Blue Turqoise $50
2 - 3-4" Sunset $35 each
1 - 3-4" Pigeon Blood $30
1 - 3-4" Brilliant Blue $30
I also have a 3" clown loach that was used to keep the snail population in my tank down. He can go for $3.
I also have four Cory Cats that I will let go for $1 each.
LOCAL PICK-UP in Sterling Heights, MI ONLY. I WILL NOT SHIP LIVESTOCK.
Please contact me at: loupatterson@wowway.com with any questions.
If you want to buy all 7 of the discus shoot me a figure. The worst I can say is "No". If you do buy all of my discus I will throw in the Corys, Loach and ALL of my plants for free!
These fish are all eating well. They are absolutely thriving! I keep them in reconstituted RO/DI water. The water is soft, pH=6.4, temp.=86 degrees.
They receive a variety of foods. Frozen beefheart, Wattley's frozen, flake, pellets and an occasional live food such as blackworms.
All of my discus have been in my tank for a minimum of six months. When I did introduced them to the tank they had been QT'd for 6-7 days oand treated in the QT tank with dewormer. Never once have I had worm one.
I also have some miscellaneous plants such as crypts, dwarf lillys and amazon swords just to name a few.
If you really want it, I will throw in the substrate as well.
I may even be convinced to let my 48" 6700K Coralife 130W PC light go as well. It has been running on the tank for a total of three months. Bulbs still have a lot of life left in them.
