Well im trying to look for something different.I would like a cichlid community or a biotype tank.I would like to have a krib pair but i have never heard of them in a cichlid community, mostly just african cichlids i have heard of in a community. So if you cant think of anything that could go along with them cichlid wise, what fish do they get along with in the wild?

you could definitely do an pair of angels in a 29 gallon, but i'm not sure what other cichlids could go in there with them. maybe a smaller bottom-dwelling cichlid? i don't know for sure =]

I think i know what im going to get, Neolamprologus brichardi !My lfs has them.I have heard that they can be quite aggressive, so i was wondering if there is any fish that can go along with them or should i just make it a species tank?

Brichardi familes will all help raise the brood. It is not uncommon to see sons and daughters of the last brood to be seen helping mom and dad take care of their current brood. So you might not always have just 1 brood at a time and the male moving from female to female.

I'd just do a pair of Brichardi and go from there. Because they are fairly easy to spawn.

Course there are always Mbuna options for a species tank for a 29gal.

Neolamprologus brichardi males reach about 4 inches females a little smaller like 3 to 3.5 inches. So i would say you could do it but it would get cramped very quickly once they started to breed.

Cichlid-man got there a little faster, i type to slow!

Well i would have done shellies and and a pair of calvus, but my lfs only has calvus. So i checked to see if they had any julis and they didnt.I dont think that my lfs has saulosi either. The only mbuna they have are yellow labs and red zebra.I would order online but every time i have done that the fish die on the way here.I think ill have to go to another lfs and see if they have any shellies of julis.Ill get back shortly.
Shellies are reallly cool, i wish i could find some.
