Identify These cory cats please

These are the two different ones, followed by single shots of each

Both

cory with bronze on tips of fins and spotted

Cory without the bronze color and with connected markings

Thanks for your help. i want to get more of the ones with the bronze on thier fins

I'm pretty sure the one on the left is Corydoras Julii and the one on the right is definitely Sterbai.

Sterbai in my personal opinion are the bets looking cory's you can buy, Julii are also very nice!

I think the one on the left is a C. trilineatus and the one on the right almost certainly a sterbai (looks like a tank-raised one).

I went with Julii but did ponder Trilineatus, I'm not sure of the differences between the two.

Out of interest why did you choose the Tril over Julii?

Definitely Trilineatus, I have one and there are subtle differences between it and Julii. The most standout one is the in the Julii species the dots are seperate and in the Trilineatus they join up somewhat, I forget the proper word for that, ah found it...reticulated.

Good link and thanks for clearing that up. I also now know my Julii bought from two different LFS were incorrectly labelled *crazysmil lol

Yep, that often happens. There are so many kinds of Corydoras that they are hard to ID sometimes, plus the fact that shop owners can make more money saying it's one thing when it's really another.
