golden polyps

I was wondering what is the best way to remove polyps from the rock or shell they are on when you by them to the lr in my tank. i have had sw for over a year but only fish just got a new light and wanted to try something new but wanted to check before i just go out and buy some thanks

people just usually keep them on the rock theyre on. no need to frag them off the rock unless its completely necessary.

if the piece you have is on a really small rock you can either try to put it in a hole on a bigger in your tank or glue it... btw not so sure what "golden polyps" are ?

im guessing just the common yellow ones...cant u lift the foot off with a razer blade or scalpel? worked for my ricordeas.

and why would you wanna scrape off a brand new coral?

my guess would be because he wants to place the coral on the structural LR.

yes thats what i was hoping to do there is a nice colection in my lfs but they are always on crapy shell looking stuff im not even sure what to call them sorry. but the point is none of them match anything going on in my
tank. So i wanted to move them to the lr. ill try the razor. lfs told me they were a good starter. thanks....

if the rock that its on is that bad id just move on to something else
