Brown spots...

Everything in my tank is living and was looking quite dandy but now I have these funky brown spots EVERYWHERE!!... it looks yucky on my plants, I have not a clue what they are or what's causing it but the tips of my plants are no longer looking healthy, anyone ever had an issue of this sort??...good advice would be great... thank you!!...

most likely its brown algae(diatoms). caused by excess silicates, nitrates, and low oxygen levels. give the tank a good cleaning and vac the gravel. you could also use a silicate remover of some sort.

Brown algae is normal in a new tank. As MrBungle said, give the tank a good cleaning and a water change, it should then go away. If it doesn't go away you should get a couple of otos.
