Algae solution?

What methods of controlling algae in a african cichlid tank is there ? Atm i have an albino bristlenose in there. But he hasnt grown much if any at all since getting him, so i kind of think hes stressing in there. Any other methods to keep the algae under control ?

Some algae is normal in any tank, but problem algae more than likely indicates an issue with water quality. Check and make sure that there isn't a build up of debris in the rocks and other decorations. This can cause the nitrites to go up, and algae thrives on nitrites. You can increase the frequency of your water changes as well as the amount of water at every water change.
