Angel breeding Journal(sorry BigV!)

#1
I decided to make an angel breeding journal too. My goal is to get my 3 pairs to breed and then take fry from each pair and breed them. My first pair is my smokey male and P. leopoldi female

Smokey pair

Pearlscale pair

I want to breed the first pair and second pair, then take 1 fry from each batch and breed them. Then get 1 fry from that batch and breed it with the pearlscale fry

Ok so saturday i was taking ALL the cons to this pet store for a donation, so i get there and this guy see's me with them and told me that he breeds dogs and fish and works at the airport and takes all the animals that were brought here illigaly and said he would give me $25.00 for all them. I said yes and so now that all of them are gone im going to redesign the 55gal by replacing the gravel with sand(or that dirt you can get for planted tanks) and adding in some plants. Then im going to move the Pristella tetras and the discus into the 55gal then move the pearlscale pair into the 30gal after i move the kribs and killie to the 75gal. Then i can use the 20gal to hatch eggs.

I know it will probably be expensive but eco-complete seems to be nice. I just used a bag for my 10 gallon that I plan on using for my planted tank. I haven't added any plants yet, but I have heard nothing but good things about it so far. You don't have to rinse it before you add it to the tank, just dump it right in and it doesn't really even cloud up the tank much when you first put it in. From what I understand there is no need to vacuum the gravel, there is something in the substrate that will actually turn the fish waste into beneficial nutrients for your plants. You just have to kinda gently clean off the top of the substrate. With a 55 gallon tank they would recommend 110 pounds of it though for a good base for your plants. The bags are 20 pounds each and are about $20 each so it would run you around $120 plus the shipping for it. Its pretty expensive but I think it would look great in your tank and do well for the plants.

Looks like you're making some progress already---good move on devoting some more space for the discus. *thumbsup2

Thanks! I can't wait to get some more for the 55gal.

Ok so i checked in with my dad today(im at my moms away from the tanks) and he said that the smokey pair is cleaning the rock more and more now, so what i need to do now is move the pearlscale pair into the 55gal and then move the rock with the eggs on it into the 20gal. Then one i can redesign the 55gal ill move in the discus. Lets hope the eggs survive!*DRUMMER*

I came back to my dads yesterday and cleaned the 55gal and put the pearlscale pair in. Today im going to clean the discus tank(last cleaned on Saturday) and take out the tetras, kribs, and killie and put them into the 55gal. I am going to leave the discus and corys in the 30gal until i can get money to redesign the 55gal. The pearlscale pair is getting ready to breed again and this time i can take the eggs out and put them in the 20gal.
The smokey pair is also getting closer and closer to breeding. I cleaned their tank today and they are cleaning the rock really really good so hopefully soon they will breed too. I would get pics today but my girlfriend wants to go see that 27 dresses  lol i don't mind
