you should just use photobucket and post the img file.. very easy to do.. you don't have to resize the pics and they will always be stored in photobucket with a free account

Looks to me like the one in the top pic is female based on the blue spangling present on the lower portion of the gill-plate. The lack of this spangling on the lower part of the gill-plate on the fish facing the camera in your bottom pic is indicative of a male.
For quick and dirty photo resizing, I like to use a power toy from Microsoft called image resizer (or something like that). It allows you to just right click on the photo in question and it creates a copy in the new size.
