Heater

Any one have any suggestions on heaters? The one in my 55 G isn't acting right. I have to have it turned all the way down or the temp sky rockets. I Am looking for a reliable heater that won't go to crap out on me, and doesn't cost hundreds of dollars.

Just incase you want to go high tech, get a Inline heater!

The vis-therm?? It's extremely cheap!!! I bought mine for like $25, it's a theo hydor I think.

Yeah, inlines are pretty pricey...but its the price v. quality argument

I've got the 'non-stealth' VisaTherm in my 55. Under $20 for a 200W heater.

You can't go wrong with a Visi- therm Stealth. I also own a 200W. Very efficient and dependable. Plug it in, set it, and let it go. Couple it with a digital thermometer and you'll be very pleased.
