Emperor 280/400 mod

Has anyone performed the mod on the Emperor 280 or 400 as seen at this link?:

Seems like a slick idea. I performed this mod yesterday and have it running on my 280. I was curious if there may be anyone else that has anything to share as far as experiences with this setup?

I took the dremel and carved out the majority of the ribs inside to allow me to completely fill the container with SeaChem Matrix. I left enough for frame support.....I'm really dying to see the results of this.

Nope, but I took out the cartridge and added 2 bags of bio ceramic beads.
