If I put Eco Complete african cichlid sand in my tank, how do I transfer the fish to the tank? How quickly does this stuff raise the ph and how long does it take the cichlid to get adjusted to the higher ph.

Depends on several factors.

Are these fish being transferred from another tank you have? I'd test pH, alkalinity (and of course temperature) of both tanks. If they're identical then just transfer them. Any differences and you may want to acclimate them first. It might be a good idea to post those parameters of both the water in the new tank and the tank they're coming from.

Hard to say because it depends on what the pH of the source water is.

Thanks,

The source tank is regular tap water at around 7.2-7.4 ph. Temperatures should be close, neither are heated and the house stays at 75 pretty much all the time.
