did you rinse it? was there water in the tank already? turn your filter off until it clears up, because you could be sucking in sand that will ruin the filter.

no I didn't rinse it, (yes I should have)there was water in it, and the filter is on. starting to calm down, filter was getting screwed up like first 30min when I poured it in; figured if it hadn't screwed up again by now, it should be fine. still picking old gravel out..
the filter running will only keep it stirred up. the sand needs to settle and clear on its own. the media isn't the problem, damage to the propellor is the issue.
