got a free oddball today, wondering if anyone knows what it is. apx 6"

Hard to get a good feel for it without being able to see all the fins out, but Vieja was the first thing that crossed my mind. I wouldn't even venture a guess on the species.

Either that or Vieja fenestratus i'd say.

colors didnt look right for a fenestratus. im guessing syn. im gonna leave him in the pond for a few days to stabalize, then get it in a tank for some better pics.

got it as a free addition when i went to pick up my 2 festae and another dovii. the guy didnt know what this one was, so he just gave it to me.

They're one of the more available Vieja/Paratheraps, but they're usually in demand.

cool. when it gets stable ill probably trade it in at a lfs or something. if i cant fiond ahome for it on my own

That's cause it likely is. Or a mix of fene x bifas.
Either way it's not a synspilum and doesn't quite match the overall look for a bifas.
