Is my filter too strong?

when my fish are not moving around, the seem to be slowly pushed around by a current in the tank. Its not a strong current, but its definitely from my filter. Is this strenuous to them and making them agitated or is it okay?

I think in order to answer this we need a little bit more info:
tank size, filter size, and of course fish size and qty?
