DIY Python...aka the Garden Snake
I went out today and bought all the supplies at my local ACE hardware store.
I got:
-50ft light duty garden hose: $12.99 (i asked them for the cheapest 50ft hose they had)
-Nylon hose shutoff: $3.39

-1/2 inch hose end replacement: $2.99

-drain/fill waterbed kit: $7.99

-1 ft clear tubing that fit into the hose replacement fitting and the end of the funnel: 1.19
Total = 29.98
I already did a change with it and it's just like the Python. The hose is heavier and not clear (since its not tube, its a garden hose) but storage is different but that's about it. The water bed kit is literally the exact same thing as what the Python uses to connect to the sink.
The only thing I had that I didn't buy was the actual funnel part of the gravel cleaner which my friend gave to me.
To assemble:
I took the hose on one end screwed in the shutoff. Into the shutoff I screwed the hose replacement end. On the other end of the hose replacement I slide the clear tube and tightened the screws. Pushed the existing funnel onto the tube. On the reverse end I simply screwed on the watered drain and fill kit and attched that to the sink. BOOM, just like a Python.
I recommend anyone to do it if they want a nice easy cheap Python and not pay twice as much as they have to for it.
30 bucks and i got a 50ft Python which is typically a LOT more...
I name it the Garden Snake *BOUNCINGS

If you got something like that you wouldn't need the tubing. Just slip in the tubing to the hose replacement fitting and then screw that into the shutoff and that into the hose.
If anyone has questions let me know!*GOLDFISH*
